Having gotten my real estate license in late 2004, I started with Long Realty in February 2005. I transitioned from a family Surveying/Land Development company into being a full time Realtor. My previous job gave me insight into real estate from another perspective. I watched as a subdivision was taken from raw land to platted lots, assisted with AutoCad drafting, county research, interpreting legal descriptions, and of course got to work with the crews surveying everything from vacant land to grading for new development. I began real estate on the land side and transitioned into residential as the market changed.
Education has always been important in my life. I went to college with the intent to teach high school English. I graduated Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College with a degree in English Education. After moving to Arizona (being born and raised in Colorado) with my then fiancé, now husband, teaching lost its luster for me and turned my attention to real estate. I am passionate about my job and education. We are required to take 24 credit hours of classes every two years to keep our license active but I tend to end up with 35-50 hours instead. Education is also important to me in regards to my clients. If I were buying a house, I would want to understand every little step so I make sure my clients are aware of everything we are doing, going to do, might do and help answer the big question of “why” as we go through the process. So my teaching license did come in handy, just not in the way I expected at the time!
Even though I love helping my clients buy and sell houses, I do have other interests. I play golf with my husband, preferring to play in scramble tournaments. I love softball but don’t get to play so much these days. I am active with close friends in a book club and reading is an important part of my life. I also enjoy cooking, baking, landscaping, and always have improvement projects around the house. I have so many interests and am always excited to try something new!

She is easy to get in touch with and always kept us up-to-date on every step of the buying and selling process and handled all the details for us, including communicating with our management copmany and organizing repairs. If we ever sell this house (not for a while--we love it!), we would call her up first.
